What the RTA Requires

The RTA requires a comprehensive event traffic management plan covering road closures, diversion routes, pedestrian routing, emergency access, and post-event clearance. For large events, coordination with Dubai Police and other authorities is mandatory. All safety equipment must be specified — TMAs and crash cushions where event routes run alongside live traffic, barriers at closure points, and advance warning signage along diversion routes.
