Road Safety Equipment Inspection Checklist Dubai

Road safety equipment should be checked before deployment and throughout the project. A simple inspection routine helps identify damaged, missing or incorrectly positioned items before they create a safety or compliance problem.

Signs and Delineation

Check that temporary signs are visible, upright, clean and positioned according to the approved arrangement. Cones and delineators should be complete, stable and correctly spaced.

Barriers

Inspect barriers for damage, alignment, connections and stability. Confirm that barrier ends and transitions are treated correctly for the site arrangement.

TMA Vehicles

Check the vehicle condition, attenuator condition, warning lights, visibility and deployment position. For a dedicated TMA checklist, see our TMA Deployment Checklist Dubai.

Crash Cushions

Check the system for impact damage, alignment, anchoring, debris and visibility. See our Crash Cushion Inspection Checklist Dubai for a detailed review.

Arrow Boards and Warning Lights

Confirm that lights and directional devices are operating and facing approaching traffic correctly.

Fencing and Pedestrian Control

Inspect temporary fencing, pedestrian routes, access gates and separation from live traffic.

Document the Inspection

Record the date, location, equipment checked, defects found and corrective action. Repeat inspections after impacts, weather events, site changes or relocation of equipment.
