The crash cushion device mounted on the rear of the vehicle is designed to absorb and redirect the energy of a vehicle collision, dramatically reducing injury severity for both the occupants of the striking vehicle and the workers or road users ahead.

Crash cushion vehicles are used in two main configurations in Dubai and the UAE:
