RTA Requirements

The RTA assesses the proposed route for bridge clearances (height and weight), road widths at narrow points, turning radii at junctions, and weight restrictions on specific roads. Movement is typically restricted to night hours or off-peak periods. Escort vehicles may be required — including TMA shadow vehicles for slow-moving loads on roads where they present a rear-impact hazard.
