RTA NOC Approval Validity & Expiry Tracking Dubai

Receiving an RTA NOC is not the end of the approval process. Contractors should track the approval date, validity period, conditions, project programme and any changes that may affect whether the approval remains suitable for the planned works.

HMJ Contracting supports contractors with RTA NOC applications in Dubai, drawings, documentation, review comments and approval coordination. Call +971 50 778 9046.

1. Record the Approval Date and Reference

Keep the approval reference, issue date and approved drawing revision in the project register. The site team should be able to confirm which approval applies to the current work package.

2. Check the Validity Period

Review the validity stated on the approval or related permit. Do not assume that an old approval can automatically be used after programme delays or changes in scope.

3. Compare Approval Validity with the Construction Programme

If mobilisation, lane closures or road works move to a later date, compare the new programme against the approval period. Identify possible expiry risks early rather than after equipment and crews reach site.

4. Track Approval Conditions

Some approvals include conditions, coordination requirements or limitations that should remain visible to the project team. Maintain a simple conditions register showing responsibility and status.

5. Review Scope Changes

Changes to work limits, access, traffic arrangements, construction method or drawing revisions can affect whether the original approval remains applicable. Significant changes may require revised documents or a new submission.

6. Plan Extensions or Resubmissions Early

Where an extension or revised approval may be needed, prepare updated drawings, programme information and supporting documents before the existing validity becomes a project risk.

7. Keep Site Records Aligned

The approved revision should match the documents issued to supervisors, traffic-management teams and subcontractors. Remove superseded drawings from active site folders.
