RTA NOC Approved Drawing Distribution Checklist Dubai

Once an RTA NOC is approved, the correct approved drawings need to reach the people who will actually use them. A controlled distribution process helps prevent construction teams from working from superseded or unapproved revisions.

HMJ Contracting supports RTA NOC applications in Dubai, including drawings, document preparation, review responses and approval coordination.

1. Confirm the Final Approved Revision

Before issuing drawings, verify the exact revision that forms part of the approved package.

2. Prepare a Distribution List

Typical recipients may include:

  • Project manager
  • Site engineer
  • Traffic management team
  • Document controller
  • Consultant
  • Relevant subcontractors

3. Mark Controlled Copies

Where controlled copies are used, record who received each drawing and when.

4. Remove Superseded Drawings

Old revisions should be removed from active site folders and clearly archived as superseded.

5. Issue the Approval Conditions With the Drawings

If the NOC contains conditions affecting the work, distribute those conditions together with the approved drawings.

6. Brief the Site Team

The team should understand:

  • Approved work limits
  • Access arrangements
  • Traffic controls
  • Relevant restrictions
  • Inspection or reinstatement requirements

7. Record Distribution

Maintain a simple register with drawing number, revision, recipient, issue date and acknowledgment.

8. Control Later Changes

If a drawing changes after approval, do not replace the approved copy informally. Use a controlled revision and approval process.

A clear distribution process reduces the risk of site teams using the wrong drawing revision.
