Traffic Diversion Request Dubai
A traffic diversion request should explain clearly why traffic must be rerouted, where the diversion will operate, how long it will remain in place, and how road users will be guided safely around the affected area.
HMJ Contracting supports contractors with traffic diversion planning, drawings, signage and implementation in Dubai. Call +971 50 778 9046.
Define the Work Scope
State the activity that requires the diversion, the exact location, expected duration and whether the arrangement affects one lane, multiple lanes, a local road or a larger route.
Prepare the Diversion Route
The proposed route should be practical for the expected traffic volume and vehicle types. Check junctions, turning movements, access constraints and any conflict with other works.
Coordinate Drawings and Signage
The drawing should show the closed or restricted area, the diversion route, advance warning, directional signs, barriers and work-zone limits.
See HMJ’s Traffic Diversion Plan Dubai service and Traffic Diversion Signage guide.
Confirm Access Requirements
Maintain access where required for residents, businesses, emergency services, construction traffic and pedestrians. If access changes during different phases, show each stage separately.
List Safety Equipment
Depending on the project, the arrangement may include barriers, cones, arrow boards, crash cushions, TMA vehicles and temporary fencing.
Match the Project Programme
The requested dates should match the construction programme and the period shown in supporting documents. Avoid submitting conflicting dates across drawings, letters and applications.
Review Before Submission
Before the request is submitted, confirm that the route, drawings, signage, dates and work scope all describe the same arrangement. Internal consistency reduces avoidable review comments.
