How to Respond to RTA NOC Review Comments Dubai
Receiving review comments on an RTA NOC application does not automatically mean the project has failed. In many cases, the authority is asking the applicant to clarify information, correct a drawing, align documents, or provide additional supporting material before the application can proceed.
HMJ Contracting supports contractors with drawings, documents, revisions and RTA NOC application coordination. Call +971 50 778 9046.
Start by Classifying Every Comment
Do not respond to comments individually without checking how they affect the rest of the submission. Group comments into categories such as:
- Drawing corrections
- Missing documents
- Traffic-management changes
- Work-zone geometry
- Access and route issues
- Contractor or consultant information
- Permit references
- Method statement updates
This makes it easier to assign each item to the correct project team member.
Update All Related Documents Consistently
A revision to one drawing can affect multiple documents. For example, moving a work-zone limit can also change:
- Sign locations
- Barrier positions
- TMA placement
- Traffic diversion geometry
- Access points
- Method statement references
Before resubmission, confirm that the revised package tells one consistent story.
Use a Comment Response Register
A simple response register can include:
- Authority comment
- Action taken
- Drawing or document reference
- Revision number
- Responsible party
- Status
This helps the applicant prove that every comment has been addressed and reduces the risk of missing an item.
Avoid Unnecessary Changes
Only revise items that need correction or that are directly affected by the requested change. Introducing unrelated changes during a resubmission can create additional review questions.
Check the Latest Drawing Revisions
Before uploading files, confirm:
- Correct drawing number
- Correct revision number
- Correct date
- Matching title block
- Consistent project name
- Current consultant and contractor details
- No superseded file remains in the package

Track Application Status After Resubmission
After uploading revisions, continue monitoring the application and keep the response register available in case additional clarification is requested.
