ROWPS Reinstatement Before & After Photo Checklist Dubai
Before-and-after photographs are useful evidence when work affects the public Right of Way. They help show the original condition, the work area and the final reinstated condition.
HMJ Contracting supports ROWPS applications in Dubai with drawings, documentation and permit coordination.
1. Capture the Pre-Work Condition
Before work starts, photograph:
- Pavement and road surfaces
- Kerbs and verges
- Utility covers
- Signs and street furniture
- Access points
- Existing damage
2. Match the Work Limits
Use the same viewpoints where practical so the before and after condition can be compared easily.
3. Record Location and Date
Each image should be traceable to a project location and date.
4. Photograph the Final Reinstatement
After completion, capture the repaired or reinstated surface and surrounding area.
5. Include Close-Up Defect Views
Where there are joints, transitions or repaired edges, include closer photographs to show condition.
6. Check for Remaining Materials
The final photos should show that temporary materials, debris and unused equipment have been removed.
7. Link Photos to Drawings
Where useful, reference the drawing number, chainage or work-zone section.
8. Prepare a Comparison Sheet
For important locations, place the before and after images side by side with a short description.
9. Store the Evidence in the Closeout File
Keep the photo set with the permit, final drawings and reinstatement records.
A consistent photo comparison record helps strengthen ROWPS closeout documentation.
