An RTA NOC submission may include several drawings, method statements, programmes, equipment schedules and supporting records. When these files are revised during review, weak version control can create inconsistencies between the drawing set and the documents submitted with it.

Keep One Current Submission Set

Create one controlled folder that contains only the files intended for the next submission. Working drafts and superseded files should be stored separately so an older document is not uploaded accidentally.

Use Clear Revision References

Each revised drawing or document should have a clear revision reference. The same revision should be reflected in the file name, title block or document register where applicable.

A simple register can track:

• Document or drawing title
• File name
• Current revision
• Revision date
• Reason for change
• Review comment addressed
• Status for submission

Check Cross-Document Consistency

A drawing revision can affect other parts of the application. Before submission, check whether the change also requires updates to the method statement, work dates, equipment schedule, access arrangement or traffic-management information.

Remove Superseded Files From the Upload Set

Do not rely on memory when several revisions exist. Move old files into a clearly marked superseded folder and keep the upload folder limited to the approved submission set.

Match Revisions to Review Comments

When responding to authority comments, keep a simple comment-response record showing which document was changed and where the change was made. This makes the resubmission easier to review internally before upload.

Final Quality-Control Check

Before submitting, confirm that:

• All files open correctly.
• Drawing and document references match.
• The latest revisions are included.
• Superseded documents are excluded.
• The application information matches the revised documents.
• File names are clear and identifiable.
