A facilities manager may order maintenance at two neighbouring buildings under one purchase order. That commercial arrangement does not establish the physical limits of a Dubai Right of Way permit. Before requesting a quotation, describe exactly what happens outside each building and whether equipment moves between them.

Prepare two location sheets

Give each frontage a clear identifier that appears on its photos, building access information and proposed layout. Include the entrance used, the activity, the private boundary and the dates when public space may be affected. Label genuinely shared areas, such as the entrance to a common service yard, on both sheets.

For example, Building A may receive materials inside its boundary while the same supplier proposes to unload on the public side of Building B. Copying the delivery notes from A into B’s brief would hide an occupation requiring review.

Describe the move between buildings

A crew walking to a second entrance is a different proposal from driving or transferring equipment along a public route. Ask the specialist how the transfer will occur and who will confirm the receiving area is available. Identify any intermediate storage, vehicle stop or temporary restriction rather than leaving the transfer out of both drawings.

Ask the right application question

When utilizing part of the Right of Way, present both proposed locations and the transfer to the permit coordinator. Ask which limits, stages and dates the selected application route can cover. Do not assume one contract means one permit, or that two buildings always mean two applications.

Keep the issued records linked to the correct frontage. If only one work area has been confirmed, mark the other as pending in supplier instructions. See reviewing recurring cleaning visits for changes between dates, and RTA permits for building cleaning and maintenance works for the wider enquiry package.
