Road Reserve Occupation Permit Dubai – Temporary Use of Public Road Space

Placing construction materials, equipment, scaffolding, or any temporary structure on public road space in Dubai requires a road reserve occupation permit from the RTA. The road reserve — including carriageway, verge, pavement, and median — is public land, and any private occupation must be formally approved. Activities Requiring a Road Reserve Occupation Permit

• Placing skips, containers, or material storage on the road or verge
• Scaffolding or formwork that extends over the pavement or road
• Crane operations using part of the carriageway
• Temporary site offices or welfare units on road reserve land
• Construction hoarding that encroaches on the road or pavement
• Temporary parking bay suspension for construction access

How to Apply

Safety Equipment for Road Reserve Occupation
