ROWPS Common Mistakes Dubai

ROWPS applications can be delayed when project information, drawings, supporting documents, or traffic arrangements are inconsistent. This guide highlights practical mistakes contractors should check before submission.

1. Inconsistent Project Information

The project title, location, scope, dates, contractor details, and drawing references should match across the application and supporting documents.

2. Drawings That Do Not Match the Work Method

If the drawing shows one work-zone arrangement while the method statement describes another, the application may require clarification or revision.

3. Missing Traffic Management Details

Where works affect traffic, drawings should clearly show the proposed traffic arrangement, signs, barriers, access and protection systems where applicable.

4. Incomplete Supporting Documents

The required documents vary by activity. A useful preparation reference is our ROWPS application documents checklist.

5. Wrong or Unclear Location Information

Project limits, road names, chainages, access points and affected areas should be easy to identify.

6. Not Responding Clearly to Review Comments

When comments are issued, revisions should address each point directly rather than simply resubmitting the same package.

Before You Submit

Review the complete application as one coordinated package: application data, drawings, method statements, project dates and supporting documents should all tell the same story.
