ROWPS Drawing Coordination Checklist Dubai
ROWPS applications often depend on several drawings and supporting documents that must describe the same Right of Way activity. When work limits, access routes, utility information or project dates conflict between documents, the application can attract comments and delay the permit process.

1. Confirm the Exact Right of Way Work Limits
Mark the proposed work area clearly and make sure the same limits are reflected in every relevant drawing. This may include excavation zones, pavement works, temporary occupation areas, access routes or reinstatement limits.
2. Coordinate Access and Traffic Impact
Where the project affects vehicle or pedestrian movement, the drawings should clearly show how access will be maintained or controlled. Check:
- Site entry and exit points
- Temporary traffic routes
- Pedestrian paths
- Work-zone boundaries
- Any lane or shoulder impact
3. Check Utility and Existing-Condition Information
If existing utilities or infrastructure affect the proposed works, the information should be coordinated with the project plan. Avoid submitting a drawing that shows a different site condition from the method statement or supporting survey.
4. Match Drawing References to Supporting Documents
Document names and drawing references should be consistent. If a method statement refers to a drawing number, verify that the exact drawing is included in the package and that its revision is current.
5. Control Revisions
ROWPS submissions may go through several revisions. Maintain a simple revision register showing:
- Drawing number
- Revision
- Date
- Reason for change
- Related authority comment where applicable
This prevents an outdated file from being uploaded during resubmission.
6. Review Reinstatement Information
For works that disturb pavement, verge or other public-space elements, include the proposed reinstatement limits and method where required. The closeout stage is easier when the approved drawings already define the reinstatement scope clearly.
7. Check the Package Before Upload
Before submission, review the full set as one package rather than checking each file separately. Confirm the location, scope, dates, work limits and traffic impact are consistent throughout.
