For RTA Permits for Building Cleaning & Maintenance Works, scaffold logistics should be described separately from the completed scaffold position. Bundles, unloading vehicles and later collection can affect public space at different times from the maintenance work itself.

Use the specialist’s delivery information

Ask the scaffold contractor for the actual delivery sequence, vehicle information and receiving requirements. The scaffold design and erection method belong with the responsible specialist. The traffic brief should use those confirmed inputs to identify unloading movements and occupation at the public boundary.

Do not use an outline of the finished scaffold as the only logistics drawing. Materials may arrive in several loads, and the area needed to receive them may differ from the structure’s eventual position.

Distinguish three occupation stages

Stage Coordination input
Delivery Vehicle access, unloading position and receiving contact
Temporary storage Location, duration and responsibility for materials
Collection Recovery sequence, vehicle booking and area handback

This is a project planning aid, not an official RTA checklist. Confirm the required submission documents against the actual service and work scope.

Review the boundary before booking vehicles

Where the proposal involves Utilizing part of the Right of Way, review the affected footpath, parking or road area. Private storage consent does not authorise unloading into public space. Conversely, a reviewed vehicle position does not establish permission to leave material bundles there after the truck departs.

For a proposed Lane Closure Dubai RTA arrangement, show the full sequence and public-access implications to the responsible traffic team. Controls and dimensions must follow the project-specific reviewed arrangement.

Plan incomplete collections

Agree who responds if a collection leaves materials behind. Record remaining items and their location, then assess whether the authorised occupation still covers them. Do not assume that a maintenance completion date automatically closes the public-space responsibility.

Read our maintenance permit overview and delivery exception guide. HMJ can coordinate application and traffic inputs once the specialist’s logistics are clear.
