AC Unit Replacement Crane Setup & Delivery Access Checklist Dubai
Replacing a large AC unit often involves two separate logistics movements: removing the existing unit and delivering the replacement. The crane setup, delivery route and temporary road occupation should be coordinated as one activity.
HMJ Contracting supports RTA permit, ROWPS and road closure planning for AC unit installation or replacement.
1. Confirm Removal and Delivery Sequence
Plan whether the old unit is removed before the replacement arrives or both movements occur in the same work window.
2. Check Crane Position
Confirm the crane location, setup footprint and access for counterweights or support vehicles.
3. Review Building Access
Check loading bay, service gate, basement ramp or roof-access constraints.
4. Plan Delivery Vehicle Holding
Avoid allowing trucks to wait in live traffic lanes or block neighbouring access.
5. Review Pedestrian Interfaces
Protect footpaths, building entrances and public crossings near the lifting area.
6. Check Road or ROW Occupation
Identify whether crane, delivery or exclusion zones extend into public road space or Right of Way.
7. Coordinate Temporary Traffic Controls
Use signs, barriers, marshals or diversion measures consistent with the project-approved arrangement.
8. Maintain Emergency Access
Keep emergency and service access available throughout the lifting operation.
9. Confirm Demobilisation
Plan how the crane, delivery vehicle and removed AC unit leave the site.
10. Close the Area After Work
Remove temporary controls only after the road or access route is clear and ready for normal use.
