AC Unit Installation Lifting Traffic Management Checklist Dubai
Large AC unit installation or replacement may require a mobile crane, lifting vehicle, delivery truck and temporary exclusion area. When the operation interfaces with public roads or access routes, the traffic arrangement should be planned around the actual lifting sequence.
HMJ Contracting supports traffic diversion for AC unit installation or replacement in Dubai.
1. Confirm the AC Unit and Lifting Method
Record the unit size, approximate weight, lifting method and expected crane position.
2. Mark the Crane Setup Area
Identify outriggers, working radius and the space required for safe setup.
3. Define the Delivery Route
Confirm how the new unit arrives and how the old unit leaves the site.
4. Review Road Occupation
Identify any lane, shoulder, service road or access area affected by the lift.
5. Protect the Lifting Zone
Keep pedestrians and unrelated vehicles outside the controlled lifting area.
6. Plan Traffic Diversion
Where normal movement is affected, use the approved or project-controlled temporary traffic arrangement.
7. Position Marshals
Use marshals at critical access points, reversing locations or pedestrian interfaces where required.
8. Maintain Emergency Access
The lifting operation should not block emergency routes without an approved alternative.
9. Confirm the Work Window
Coordinate crane setup, delivery, lifting and removal within the approved project period.
10. Verify Before the Lift
Complete a final site check before the crane or lifting operation starts.
